Manjimup Cherry Festival

The Manjimup Cherry Festival is a regional Western Australian event showcasing the region’s unique and diverse attractions. It celebrates the diversity of the Southern Forests region, and isn’t necessarily just about cherries, it’s about bringing the region together.

I had the opportunity to perform three cooking demonstrations throughout the day, where I demonstrated two different recipes:
Rustic savoury cherry tart (cherries, camembert, caramelized onions)
Smashed potatoes with truffle and garlic aioli

Really enjoyable day out, and only a 4-hour drive from Perth. It was a good opportunity to challenge myself in making pastry in hot weather, which is never a good idea!
