Jacob’s Creek Kitchen Collective

Every year Jacob’s Creek run an event called the “Kitchen Collective”, where people can participate in a MasterChef themed competition. It’s great for team building, so you get together a team and work to create two dishes against the clock, with judges. The items are set out for you that you need, and you compete against the other teams. Once the event is completed you sit down for dinner with some other items of food that are paired with Jacob’s Creek wine.

For 2019, this was completed in Sydney and I was invited over to participate as a guest judge. I had an absolute ball of a time, and it’s so interesting when you put other people under those time constraints. Amazingly people put up dishes that not only looked amazing but tasted! The best part is that 100% of the profits are donated to Second Bite.

The contestants were asked to make:
Confit vanilla king salmon with pesto and fennel puree
Coconut and plum mousse with choc coconut soil & shiraz sugar shard
